Interactive Food Festival
For several years, there have been various food festivals in different Austrian regions, for example the Wachauer Weinfrühling or the Genuss Festival that took place in Vienna’s City Park in 2011.
A food festival of a different kind can be held using the concept of cooking & dining. Best suited for this purpose are the premises of the Event Restaurants Opitz & Hasil in Lower Austria’s Schwadorf, because the spacious kitchen of the Event Restaurant makes cooking in a team real fun.
Recipe Voting
A suggestion how to implement such an event: Prior to the food festival, the participants submit their favourite recipes. All guests will vote to find the best recipe proposals. Top chef Siegfried Hasil will create a suitable menu from the chosen recipes, which will be prepared jointly by all participants during the event. Drinks can be chosen for example from our own wine cellar. Even the design and decoration of the room can be created by the participants. A photographer will document the day at the Event Restaurant and will design a photo book that also contains the relevant recipes, and that will be given to the participants of the food festival.
