Colours and Functioning

ImageOnly in this case an effect on all the senses of the target group can be made and thus the message of the event lastingly conveyed to the audience.

Supposedly the physical world is colourless. But man perceives light in special amplitudes as colours. There are eight different extreme colour-feelings sensitive to our eyes: Blue, Green, Red, Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, White and Black. The so-called primary colours are the cornerstones of the sense of colour.

ImageEach colour does act as a stimulus with its own characteristics to the observer. Individuals creating different associations differently perceive that. Based on that the characteristics of colours do also have a certain bandwidth of positive and negative aspects.

Ideally colour and form create a harmonic whole. The colouring supports the form showing it off to its best advantage. In the case of an event this relates especially to the room decoration including wall covering, wall colouring, floor covering, lighting installations, green plants and so on. Including the presentation of food and drinks, especially with tableware and glasses.

A composition out of harmonious colours does lead to a positive complete picture, with its special and complete decoration of the room as well as costumes and styling of the artists.

Colour contrasts help to clarify differences and attract attention. They create tensions that can be vitalising or refreshing. This is achieved by the decoration of rooms and tables, furniture or eventually by live painting as part of an artistically performance.

ImageColour tones are combinations of some colours of the same brightness and colour quality within a defined context. They have a harmonic but contrasting effect. For example: Decorations of rooms and tables, or food and drinks.

ImageAdditional possibilities of implementation are coloured printed matters. In that case colours will be used as information carrier. Generally not more than four primary colours should be used. This relates to invitations, menus, and also napkins.
